What am I doing? I'm waiting for the weekend so I can sew my cosplay to NärCon:Vinter. I think I easily can say that I've never bought so much fabric for one cosplay and then I'm hoping I won't be needing any more.

So next upcoming conventions:
  • NärCon:Vinter, 20-23 feb.
  • Malmö Science Fiction, Film and Game Convention, 1-2 march.

Bye!

... I know it's been a while since I last wrote something here. But there is a reason. It's not that complicated. I'm just lazy and have a tumblr where I post photos to avoid writing. :XD:

So what have I've been doing almost this last year. Well, I did go to KodachiCon in March as Princess Peach. It was a real blast and me and my friends won the sketch contest with our Mushroom Kingdom sketch. It's somewhere on this link, but it's all in swedish www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMexbN… :)

Somewhere along that I went to my first Scandinavian Science Fiction Convention as Black Canary. Which reminds me that I really need to take some photos of her soon to show of my black pleather leotard, it's so fugly :XD:. Anyway my friend went as Leia from Star Wars so me and my friend appointed us to be her body guards, plus carry bag gentlemen. It was so fun to see all the kids and adult get all: 'Look there's Leia! Can we take a photo!'. I also went to my second SciFiCon a bit after that with steampunk. Which lead to me and friends ending up at some game centre where they where chatting about a new steampunk convention, that I couldn't enter.

In the summer it was time for NärCon. My first NärCon. The feelings were exited, nervous and happy. It was super warm those day, which kinda made us sit at the gaming bar, because that was one of the few places that had working ac, or in the shade outside where we enjoyed everything from the cosplay chess to crazy but not all crazy people talking. I only cosplayed two of the four days, because I could. So I took with me Inara Serra from Firefly and Princess Peach. Princess Peach was also one of the reasons I didn't see the whole cosplay contest another was that it was so fudgeing hot that day that it felt like we were gonna melt if we stood there any longer. So we went and ate like normal people should do instead. :D And we meet awesome people, I think that sums it up.

A few weeks after that I went to the biggest medieval market in Sweden for almost a week, well four days. It was so much fun and I so want to go there again, but can't this year :/. I kind of looked at the market, all the shows I managed, chilled, slept on the ground and ate food. It was awesome. Some of the photos I took --> www.flickr.com/photos/dcasteye…

In the autumn I went to two more SciFiCon's, we have a SciFiCon in Sweden which kind of tours the country with different guest all year. The best one last year I have to say was the one in Stockholm. I was Peach and it took me and my friends three hours to just walk around the place. All the kids, they were so adorable and I guess some thought I was Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, which I don't care about because it was so adorable. :la:

Most of the other time this year I've been working, since I got a job. I also went to a bunch of medieval and viking market whenever I could. Yeah, that's it I think.

Until next time, bye!

So last week I went to Göteborg to the second SciFi fair this year (and in my life). It was kind of the same dealers and it was not that much different from the one in Malmö, but this time Chris Judge were there and yes I now have his autograph.
And Madiirje, you have to admit that you are proud of yourself that you managed to get in front of Judge and shake his hand. And we were great in our steampunk themed outfits. :D

Other news:
:bulletpink: Next con is KodachiCon. It will be pink, like super pink and I'm a bit afraid of pink. How will this end. :o
:bulletgreen: It's now like spring here, meaning: I want to take naps outdoors.
:bulletblue: I've got my first circle lenses. They defiantly take some time to get used to but other than being bigger, there's not much difference.
:bulletyellow: I kind of work all time or waits on the bus. Not so much of a change.
:bulletred: At the moment I have 21 books from the library at home. I should read at least some of them before time runs out.

Yeah, that was kind of it. Now it's time for breakfast and a short walk because the weather is wonderful and the birds are calling for me. Yeah, you can kind of image Snow White in the forest, that's it. The cartoon one, that dances with the animals. :)

Bye!

Time to rapport about the Sci-Fi fair last weekend. It feels longer but that because I've been busy all days.

It was my first time at the Sci-Fi fair, but it was really fun. I kind of went like Black Canary and my friend who I ran around with was Leia. It was a huge success, at least for Leia. I kind of appointed myself as her bodyguard/ bag carrier and got to see all parents force their kids to take a picture with Leia, and there was also the adorable girls and boys that followed us around whispering about Leia, yes it was so adorable. Otherwise the day was spent playing video games (I can almost run straight in Mario U now), meeting friends and looking, widow shopping and shopping at all the vendors.  I got myself a Sonic Screwdriver. :la:

And then last week I kind of started my new job. I wasn't suppose to get it until three weeks but sometimes people give birth a bit early. So it's a temp job. But it's for one and a half year and I got my own library that I can rule over. It's out in the middle of nowhere and it's on a school with mostly adorable kids. The only bad thing is that the closest store is ten minutes away with train. :(
But I finally got a schedule and even thou that means more waiting for the bus at least I know where and when I'm suppose to be three days a week. :)

Well, time to get ready for today's works. Bye!
